We&#8217;re big fans of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vrbo.com\/results?q=Bellingham%2C%20WA%2C%20USA&amp;to-date=08%2F13%2F2018&amp;from-date=08%2F09%2F2018&amp;uuid=\">VRBO <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airbnb.com\/s\/bellingham\/homes?checkin=2018-08-09&amp;checkout=2018-08-13&amp;guests=2&amp;adults=2&amp;infants=0&amp;children=0&amp;allow_override%5B%5D=&amp;s_tag=Oq-Dtd7G\">AirBnB <\/a>for unique experiences and there are also plenty of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/search\/hotels\/@48.7475727,-122.4952374,13z\/data=!3m1!4b1\">conveniently located hotels!<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>HOTELS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(we live here so we don&#8217;t know much about these other than the locations and what they look like from outside. We&#8217;re sorry in advance if you don&#8217;t like them, buyer beware):<\/p>\n<p>Central Bellingham:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/fourpointsbellingham.com\">Four Points Inn<\/a> &#8211; <em>Reach out to Macy for a special discount she can get here for you!<\/em><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.redlion.com\/bellingham\">Guesthouse Inn<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.heliotropehotel.com\/\">Heliotrope Hotel<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>North Bellingham (Between Central Bellingham and the Wedding Venue):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/home2suites3.hilton.com\/en\/hotels\/washington\/home2-suites-by-hilton-bellingham-airport-BLINWHT\/index.html\">Home2 Suites<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.marriott.com\/hotels\/travel\/blish-springhill-suites-bellingham\/?scid=bb1a189a-fec3-4d19-a255-54ba596febe2\">SpringHill Suites<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Near the Wedding Venue (about 2 minutes from the wedding and 15 minutes from Central Bellingham):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/silverreefcasino.com\">Silver Reef Casino\/Hotel<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the Water<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/hotelbellwether.com\">Bellwether<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/thechrysalisinn.com\">Chrysalis<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are lots of other hotel options in town, these are just the ones we&#8217;re most familiar with and that have the most convenient locations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RENTING A HOUSE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking to rent a house from AirBNB or VRBO, then you may find it helpful to know the names of some of the local neighborhoods and be able to see them on a map.\u00a0 We live in the Sunnyland neighborhood (which is central\/north Bellingham). Here&#8217;s a map of all the Bellingham neighborhoods (however, you won&#8217;t see Sudden Valley on there):\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cob.org\/documents\/gis\/maps\/COB_Nhoodmap.pdf\">Map of Bellingham Neighborhoods<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sudden Valley is part of Bellingham but it&#8217;s its own community that hugs Lake Whatcom. It&#8217;s about 15-20 minutes from our house. Sudden Valley is a great option if you want a house on the lake, or with a view of the lake. Just know that it&#8217;s not going to be walking distance to any local breweries.<\/p>\n<p>You are welcome to look for lodging in nearby towns such as Ferndale (which is the closest to Bellingham, and is where our wedding venue is).
