Nearby Lodging

There are plenty of places to stay in and around Bellingham. We’re big fans of VRBO and AirBnB for unique experiences and there are also plenty of conveniently located hotels!

(we live here so we don’t know much about these other than the locations and what they look like from outside. We’re sorry in advance if you don’t like them, buyer beware):

Central Bellingham:

North Bellingham (Between Central Bellingham and the Wedding Venue):

Near the Wedding Venue (about 2 minutes from the wedding and 15 minutes from Central Bellingham):

On the Water

There are lots of other hotel options in town, these are just the ones we’re most familiar with and that have the most convenient locations.

RENTING A HOUSE

If you’re looking to rent a house from AirBNB or VRBO, then you may find it helpful to know the names of some of the local neighborhoods and be able to see them on a map.  We live in the Sunnyland neighborhood (which is central/north Bellingham). Sudden Valley is part of Bellingham but it’s its own community that hugs Lake Whatcom. It’s about 15-20 minutes from our house. Sudden Valley is a great option if you want a house on the lake, or with a view of the lake. Just know that it’s not going to be walking distance to any local breweries.

You are welcome to look for lodging in nearby towns such as Ferndale (which is the closest to Bellingham, and is where our wedding venue is). Ferndale is about a 20 minute drive north up the freeway from Bellingham.
